A reload bonus is a bonus on any deposit after your first. In our selection, 8 casinos spell out the tiers of their welcome package beyond the 1st deposit: at 5 of them, the percentage drops from the 2nd deposit, at 2 it climbs again on a later tier, and 1 keeps the same percentage on every deposit.
The wagering, on the other hand, never goes down in any of these packages, and it is the wagering that decides whether a reload is worth anything. Below: the tiers casino by casino, the maths on a €100 second deposit, and the recurring reloads offered by the casinos in our selection.
Three kinds of reload bonus
1. Welcome package tiers
A “package over 4 deposits” is really a first deposit bonus followed by three reloads. Each tier has its own percentage, cap and sometimes its own wagering, and it often expires a few days after sign-up.
2. Recurring reloads
A bonus on a set day (“Tuesday”, “weekend”) or every day, often with a promo code to enter when you deposit. Smaller than the welcome offer, but it keeps coming back.
3. Targeted reloads
A bonus tied to a payment method (usually crypto), a VIP level or sent by email. Terms vary from player to player, so read them every time.
What does each deposit after the first get you? Tiers casino by casino
For each casino in our selection that details its package, this table shows the percentage, cap and free spins of every deposit, in the order of our ranking. It updates with our casino data: a paused casino drops out automatically.

Tiers taken from the casinos’ terms and our reviews. Offers can change: the casino cashier is the reference at the time you deposit.
- Most common: the percentage drops. That is the case at Velobet, Golden Lion, Lussurio, Party Spinz and WelleBet. The first deposit is the hook; the next ones are less generous.
- A lower percentage can hide a higher cap. At WelleBet, the percentage goes down while the cap goes up: on a small deposit the tier pays less, on a large one it can pay more.
- Some packages save the best for later: at BetFury and Celsius, a later tier offers a higher percentage than the first.
- Wagering can rise along the way: at Celsius, it goes from x40 to x45 on the last tiers.
A €100 second deposit: what the reload costs in wagering
Take the same €100 deposit at the 2nd tier of each euro package. The casino adds its bonus, then you have to wager a set amount before you can withdraw. On a slot that pays back 96% of stakes, each euro wagered costs 4 cents on average. Here is what that means.
| Casino | Bonus | Starting balance | Wagering to clear | Average loss (96% RTP) | Left on average |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cosmobet | €100 (100%) | €200 | €3,000 (x30) | €120 | €80 |
| Velobet | €100 (100%) | €200 | €3,000 (x30) | €120 | €80 |
| Golden Lion | €200 (200%) | €300 | €10,000 (x50) | €400 | balance gone |
| Lussurio | €100 (100%) | €200 | €6,000 (x30 D+B) | €240 | balance gone |
| Party Spinz | €300 (300%) | €400 | €9,900 (x33) | €396 | €4 |
| WelleBet | €50 (50%) | €150 | €4,500 (x30 D+B) | €180 | balance gone |
| Celsius | €100 (100%) | €200 | €4,000 (x40) | €160 | €40 |
D+B: wagering on deposit + bonus, according to our data. Elsewhere the calculation assumes wagering on the bonus only, the most favourable case: check the wagering basis in the casino’s terms.
Without a bonus, your €100 can be withdrawn at any time. With the reload, what is left on average once the wagering is done is less than your deposit, and at Golden Lion, Lussurio and WelleBet the average loss is even larger than the starting balance: on average, the balance runs out before the wagering is complete. These are averages: a session can end well above or well below, but they show what happens most often.
The rule of thumb: x25
At 96% RTP, x25 wagering on the bonus alone loses, on average, exactly the amount of the bonus (€100 × 25 × 4% = €100). Below that, the reload keeps a positive average value; above it, it costs more than it gives. The headline percentage (50%, 100%, 300%) does not move that threshold: only the wagering does. Run the numbers for any offer with our bonus calculator, and see our RTP guide for where the 4% comes from.
Recurring reloads in our selection
Bonuses on crypto deposits
Velobet (160% up to €1,000, from €10, x35 wagering) and WelleBet (150%, from €20, terms shown in the cashier) offer a bonus reserved for cryptocurrency deposits, separate from the welcome package. Before using it, check which network is accepted and the transaction fees: our crypto casino guide walks through the steps.
Weekly offers
- CrownSlots: a Tuesday reload; on Thursdays, free spins based on your deposit (30 FS for €30, 55 FS for €50, 110 FS for €100 or more) plus 20% no-wager cashback on the week’s losses.
- EvoSpin: up to 100 FS on Tuesdays depending on the amount deposited, with the codes WIN20, WIN50 or WIN100.
- Celsius: a daily reload bonus, on top of daily, weekly and monthly rakeback based on VIP level.
- Golden Mina: reloads throughout the week, weekends included, with offers that depend on VIP level.
- Party Spinz: regular reloads and daily deals on selected slots.
- Velobet: weekly reloads and tournaments.
The details of these offers (percentage, cap, wagering, maximum bet) change often and are only published on each casino’s promotions page: read them when you deposit. On the CrownSlots Thursday free spins, you get roughly 1 FS per euro deposited whatever the tier (30 FS for €30, 110 FS for €100): depositing more does not make the offer better value.
Reload or cashback: which pays more?
| Reload bonus | Cashback | |
|---|---|---|
| When it is paid | On deposit, before you play | Afterwards, on part of your losses |
| Wagering | Almost always (x30 to x50 in packages) | Often none, sometimes low |
| What blocks a withdrawal | The wagering, while the bonus is active | Nothing, if the cashback has no wagering |
| Best for | Players who want a bigger balance for a long session | Regular players who want to soften their losses |
For someone who deposits every week, no-wager cashback usually pays off more reliably than a high-wagering reload: it needs no playthrough and whatever it returns can be withdrawn. Our casino cashback guide compares the offers, and our no-wager casino guide lists the bonuses you can withdraw without wagering.
Before you accept a reload: checklist
- Read the wagering and its basis: bonus only, or deposit + bonus
- Check the tier’s minimum deposit (it can be higher than on the 1st deposit)
- Enter the right promo code when you deposit, not afterwards
- Note the maximum bet allowed and the excluded games while wagering
- Note the deadline to complete the wagering (often a few days)
- Make sure your payment method is not excluded from the offer
- Turn the bonus down if you want to be able to withdraw straight away
These rules are covered in detail in our article on hidden casino bonus rules.
⚠️ A reload is designed to make you deposit again
The Tuesday reload, the weekend bonus, the “your bonus is waiting” email: they all have the same goal, getting you to deposit again. Never deposit just so you don’t “lose” a bonus. Set a weekly or monthly budget, use the deposit limits in your casino account, and stop when you reach it. If gambling becomes hard to control, our responsible gambling page points you to help.
Frequently asked questions
What is a reload bonus?
A bonus on a deposit made after your first one: the casino adds a percentage of your deposit (50%, 100%…) up to a cap, sometimes with free spins. It can be part of the welcome package (2nd, 3rd deposit…) or come back every week.
Do reload bonuses have wagering requirements?
Almost always. In the welcome packages of our selection, later deposits usually keep the same wagering as the first one (x30 to x50), and it sometimes goes up from one tier to the next. Weekly reloads have their own terms, shown on the casino’s promotions page.
Is a reload bonus worth it?
It depends on the wagering, not the percentage. On slots that pay back 96% of stakes, every euro wagered costs 4 cents on average: above x25 on the bonus alone, the average loss from the required wagering is larger than the bonus itself. A reload is only really worth something when its wagering is low.
Can I turn down a reload bonus?
Yes. Most casinos let you deposit without the bonus, by unticking the offer or not entering the code. Your winnings can then be withdrawn without any wagering, subject to the anti-money-laundering rule that sometimes asks you to play through your deposit once.
What is the difference between a reload and cashback?
A reload is paid when you deposit, before you play, and comes with wagering. Cashback is paid afterwards, on part of your losses, and often has no wagering. For a regular player, no-wager cashback usually pays off more reliably than an x35 reload.
