Released in June 2022 by Pragmatic Play, Sugar Rush quickly became one of the studio's most played slots, to the point of spawning several sequels. Its candy theme is reminiscent of Sweet Bonanza, but the mechanic is different: a 7×7 Cluster Pays grid, where you need at least 5 matching symbols touching each other to win.
Everything revolves around the multiplier spots. Each winning symbol that explodes marks its spot. If another winning symbol explodes on the same spot, it becomes an x2 multiplier, which then doubles with every explosion: x4, x8, x16… up to x128. When a cluster covers several multiplier spots, their values are added together.
In the base game, spots reset after every spin. Game Mechanics
No paylines: a win forms as soon as 5 or more matching symbols touch horizontally or vertically. The bigger the cluster, the bigger the payout.
Winning symbols disappear after each win and new symbols fall into their place. Tumbles continue as long as new clusters form.
An explosion marks the spot; the next one on the same spot creates an x2 multiplier, which doubles with each new explosion up to x128. Multipliers in the same cluster are added together.
